Stuffed Potato Shells - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 to 7 lb. red potatoes
    1 (1 lb.) box large shells
    6 to 8 chopped onions
    4 sticks butter
    16 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Cook shells.
    Drain and rinse.
    Peel potatoes and boil and mash (no milk) with 1 stick butter, add cheese.
    Saute onions in 3 sticks butter for 15 minutes.
    Spread 1/2 of onions into 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Place shells stuffed with potato mixture in pan. Cover with remaining onion.
    Cover with foil tightly.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
