St. Charles Chocolate Pies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

9 Tbsp. flour
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. cocoa
3 c. sugar
7 c. milk
6 egg yolks
2 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Combine all dry ingredients.
Gradually add mixture of milk and yolks, stirring constantly over medium heat.
Cook until bubbles and thickens.
Will get thicker when cool.
Remove from heat and add vanilla and butter.
Stir well.
Pour into baked pastry and top with meringue or whipped topping.
Makes 2 large 9-inch pies.
