Ranch Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (5 oz.) pkg. scalloped potatoes and cheese
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. Ranch salad dressing
    1/2 c. Velveeta shredded cheese food
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    bacon slices, crisply cooked and crumbled (optional)
Preparation
    Bring 2 1/4 cups cold water to a boil in a 2-quart saucepan. Add potatoes.
    Simmer, uncovered, over medium heat 15 to 18 minutes or until most of the water is absorbed.
