Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. margarine
    4 eggs
    3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda (dissolve in milk)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 (8 oz.) box dates, chopped
    2 c. chopped nuts
    1 lb. orange slice candy, cut up
    1 can coconut
    1/2 c. flour (for nuts, candy, dates and coconut)
Preparation
    Roll nuts, candy, dates and coconut in 1/2 cup of flour. Cream margarine and sugar; add salt to flour.
    Add flour alternately with milk to creamed mixture.
    Add nuts, etc. mixture to batter.
    Cook in well-greased and floured 10-inch tube pan (or 2 loaf pans) at 250\u00b0 for 2 1/2 hours or cake shrinks from side of pan.
