Pumpkin Pie Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) cream cheese (room temperature)
    2 c. powdered sugar
    1 (15 oz.) can pure pumpkin
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground ginger
Preparation
    Place the cream cheese and powdered sugar into the bowl of an electric mixer and beat at medium speed until smooth.
    Add the pumpkin, cinnamon and ginger.
    Beat until well combined.
    Pour the dip into an airtight container.
    Cover and chill for at least 8 hours before serving.
    To serve, allow the dip to stand at room temperature for about 30 minutes and serve with gingersnaps, apple slices and/or pear slices.
    Yield:
    3 3/4 cups.
