Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. cornmeal
1 Tbsp. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
2 c. buttermilk
6 Tbsp. chopped onion

Preparation

Mix and beat until smooth.
Drop by tablespoons into deep hot grease.
Use plenty of grease.
Cook until golden brown.
Drain and serve hot.
