Round Steak Supper - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round steak (1-inch thick)
    2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    flour
    6 medium onions, sliced
    1/4 c. shortening
    3 large potatoes, halved
    1 can tomato soup
    1 (1 lb.) can French-cut green beans
Preparation
    Cut steak into serving pieces; season with salt and pepper. Roll in flour.
    Saute onions in hot shortening in skillet until tender.
    Remove from heat.
    Brown steak pieces slowly on both sides.
    Put in 3-quart casserole.
    Add onions and potatoes.
    Pour soup over top.
    Bake covered in 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour and 45 minutes or until steak is tender.
    Add green beans.
    Bake for 10 minutes longer.
    Yield:
    6 to 8 servings.
