Irish Soda Bread(Yields 1 Loaf) - cooking recipe

2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. caraway seed
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. raisins
3/4 c. milk
3 Tbsp. cider vinegar
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and sugar.
Cut in butter until looks like corn meal.
Stir in raisins and caraway seed.
Mix together vinegar and milk.
Add liquid to flour mixture and stir vigorously.
Turn out on floured board.
Knead 8 to 10 times.
Shape in round, greased 8-inch pie pan.
Cut crisscross (side to side).
Brush top with milk.
Place in 400\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes, then lower temperature to 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Cool 1 hour.
