Baptist Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup shortening
    1 stick butter
    3 cups sugar
    5 eggs
    3 cups self rising flour
    1 cup milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening, butter and sugar.
    Beat in one egg at a time.
    Mix in some of the flour and then some of the milk, alternating until all of each is incorporated.
    Pour into greased tube pan.
    Put in cold oven and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
