Fruity Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. butter
    2 large eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. sugar (more if desired)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 qt. milk
    3 c. fresh bread cubes
    1 small can fruit cocktail (undrained)
    dash of cinnamon
    dash of nutmeg (optional)
Preparation
    Melt
    butter and combine with beaten eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla,
    milk,
    fruit
    and seasonings.
    Pour over bread cubes (if needed, add 1/2 cup more bread crumbs or cubes).
    Dot with butter. Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes or until light brown on top.
    May be served with whipped cream or cooked lemon sauce.
