Sweet Potato Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. mashed sweet potato
    2 Tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter flavor Crisco, melted
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Combine flour, baking powder and salt in large bowl.
    Combine sweet potato, brown sugar and butter flavor Crisco.
    Beat at low speed with electric mixer until well blended and fluffy.
    Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk.
    Stir buttermilk and sweet potato mixture alternately into dry ingredients.
    Roll dough 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut with floured 2-inch round cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Makes 12 to 16 biscuits.
