Pastel Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. Karo light corn syrup
    1/3 c. margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla or desired extract
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 lb. confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Beat Karo, margarine, vanilla and salt.
    Mix in confectioners sugar.
    Knead until smooth.
    Tint with food color.
    Shape into 1 1/2-inch patties.
    Top patties with nut halves.
    Makes 48.
