Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. white Karo
    2 c. raw peanuts
    2 tsp. soda
    dash of salt
Preparation
    In heavy saucepan, mix together sugar, Karo, peanuts and dash of salt.
    Cook over high heat approximately 10 minutes or until mixture turns light brown and peanuts have popped.
    Remove from heat; immediately add soda and stir rapidly.
    Pour out onto buttered cookie sheet with rim.
    Do not spread or smooth out as this will do away with the air bubbles and make the candy hard instead of brittle and crunchy.
