Green Chili Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. cornmeal
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    1 Tbsp. buttermilk
    1/2 c. melted shortening or oil
    1 (11 oz.) can cream-style corn
    1 (4 oz.) can green chilies, chopped
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Mix cornmeal, baking powder and salt.
    Beat eggs with buttermilk, shortening and corn.
    Stir into dry ingredients.
    Pour small amount into bottom of greased casserole.
    Add 1/2 chilies and cheese.
    Pour in remainder of mixture.
    Top with chilies and cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 45 minutes.
