Homemade Peppermint Hot Chocolate - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. water
    1/3 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 to 3 standard candy canes, crushed
    1/2 gal. whole milk
Preparation
    In a large pan combine water, chocolate chips, sugar, salt and candy canes.
    Cook and stir over medium-low heat until chocolate chips melt.
    Gradually stir in milk.
    Heat until almost boiling--do not boil!
    Remove from heat and whisk or beat until frothy.
    Serve.
    Makes approximately 10 servings.
