Cream Of Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 big bunch broccoli, stems chopped fine and buds separated
    1 qt. chicken broth (low-salt)
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    3 chicken bouillon cubes
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. flour
    1 c. half and half
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
Preparation
    Cook broccoli stems, broth, bay leaf and onion in saucepan. Boil for 10 minutes.
    Add bouillon cubes until dissolved.
    Remove most of the chunks and set aside broth.
