Apple Betty - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. peeled, sliced apples (Washington State or Rome)
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. lemon extract
    1 c. grated cheddar cheese
    1/2 stick butter or margarine, melted
    1 1/4 c. graham cracker crumbs
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Mix together apples, sugar, and lemon extract.
    Place in a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
    Combine the cheese, butter and graham cracker crumbs, stirring to mix evenly and spread over the apples.
    Bake on the lowest rack of the oven for 35 minutes.
    Serves 8 to 10.
