Krauter Klosschen(Meat Broth With Herb Dumplings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 egg
    2/3 c. fresh breadcrumbs
    3 Tbsp. minced herbs (such as basil, parsley, chives)
    salt
    ground nutmeg
    1 qt. meat stock
    3 Tbsp. dry sherry
Preparation
    In a small bowl, beat butter until light and creamy.
    Beat in egg, breadcrumbs, herbs, salt and nutmeg to make a light, smooth mixture.
    Let stand 15 minutes.
    In medium saucepan, heat stock and sherry over medium heat.
    Using a teaspoon or your hands, shape dough into small dumplings.
    Rinse your hands in cold water to prevent sticking.
    Gently poach dumplings in heated stock over low heat, about 3 minutes.
    Makes 3 servings.
