Strawberry Icebox Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. strawberries
    1 large carton Cool Whip
    2 c. powdered sugar, sifted
    1/4 tsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. unflavored gelatin
    2 Tbsp. cold water
    1 box vanilla wafers
Preparation
    Mix strawberries with Cool Whip, powdered sugar and lemon juice.
    Dissolve gelatin in water in saucepan on stove on low heat.
    Stir consistently.
    Put layer of strawberries mixture alternately with vanilla wafers in large dish.
    Place in refrigerator or freezer.
    (Be sure to mix gelatin mixture with strawberries and Cool Whip mixture.)
