Fig Preserve Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. rum flavoring
    1 tsp. each allspice, cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon
    1 pt. fig preserves, chopped
    2 c. chopped pecans*
Preparation
    *Black walnuts and/or hickory nuts can be mixed as part of the nuts.
