Beefed-Up Biscuit Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    onion
    1 1/4 lb. ground beef
    8 oz. tomato sauce
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. garlic salt
    1 can (8 oz.) buttermilk biscuits
    1/2 c. sour cream
    1 1/2 c. shredded cheese (Cheddar)
    1 egg, slightly beaten
Preparation
    Brown beef and onion; drain.
    Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder and garlic salt.
    Simmer while preparing dough by pulling apart each biscuit to make 2 layers.
    Press 10 biscuit layers over bottom of ungreased 8-inch baking dish.
    Combine 1/2 cup cheese, sour cream and egg; mix well.
    Remove meat mixture.
    Stir in sour cream mixture; spoon over dough.
    Arrange remaining biscuits on top.
    Sprinkle remaining cheese over meat mixture and biscuits. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
    Serves 6.
