Peanut Butter Cookies No. 2 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
    1/2 c. (1 stick) margarine
    1/2 c. chunky peanut butter
    1 large egg
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    additional flour or granulated sugar
Preparation
    In large bowl, combine sugars, margarine, peanut butter, egg and vanilla;
    mix
    well.
    In medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder,
    soda and salt; stir into peanut butter mixture, mixing until blended.
    Cover dough; refrigerate 3 hours.
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Lightly
    grease
    several
    large baking sheets.
    With hands, roll
    level\ttablespoons
    of
    dough in 1 1/4 inch balls. Place
    balls
    3
    inches
    apart
    on prepared baking sheets.\tDip tines
    of
    fork
    into
    flour or sugar; flatten dough crisscross style.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until slightly brown.
    Yield: 3 dozen cookies.
