Fruit Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 lb. candied cherries
1/2 lb. candied pineapple
1 qt. pecans
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs. Add 3 cups flour sifted with baking powder and salt. Mix rest of flour with chopped fruit and nuts. Stir into batter and add vanilla. Pour into a tube pan that has been greased and bottom lined with heavy brown paper. Bake at 250\u00b0 for 3 hours. Let cool in pan.
