Almond Tarts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 oz. pastry
    apricot jam
    4 oz. almonds, sliced
    2 oz. almond paste
    2 oz. sugar
    2 oz. margarine or butter
    1 egg
    juice of lemon
Preparation
    Cream together the margarine and sugar.
    Beat in eggs.
    Add almonds, paste and lemon juice.
    Use tart pans; cut pastry to fit. Fill each 1/2 full of mixture.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 7 minutes. Reduce to 350\u00b0; bake for 30 minutes.
    Dust with sugar.
    On each tart, place dab of jam.
