Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 eggs
1 c. dark syrup
1 c. cooking oil
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. each: cloves, ginger and cinnamon
2 large tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1/8 c. hot water
2 c. flour
1 c. boiling water
Preparation

Place eggs, syrup, oil, sugar and spices in a large bowl; beat well.
Add dissolved soda.
Sift in flour and beat well.
Add boiling water and beat lightly and quickly.
Place in 9 x 12-inch pan, greased well.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Serves 10 to 12.
