Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box pineapple or lemon cake mix, baked according to directions
    1 box instant pudding, mixed according to directions
    1 can cherry pie filling
    1 can crushed pineapple
Preparation
    Crumble 1/2 of cake and put in a large clear glass bowl (small punch bowl).
    Add 1/2 of all other ingredients in layers.
    Do not mix!
    Put other 1/2 crumbled cake and repeat layering other ingredients.
    Top with Cool Whip and nuts.
