Sweet Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
1/2 c. sugar
1 to 3 c. molasses
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 beaten egg
3 1/2 c. plain flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice

Preparation

Mix all ingredients and roll out.
Bake like biscuits.
