Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
5 egg yolks
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flaked coconut
1/2 c. chopped pecans
5 egg whites
Preparation

Beat egg whites; set aside.
Cream sugar, eggs, butter and shortening.
Add flour, soda and milk.
Mix well.
Add coconut, nuts and vanilla.
Mix well.
Add egg whites and mix.
Bake in 13 x 9-inch pan.
