White Mountain Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2.5 c. sugar
    1.5 c. butter
    18 eggs (whites only)
    1 pt. milk
    1 3/4 qt. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. rose water
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add flour and milk alternately a little at a time.
    Save 1 cup flour to mix with baking powder. Beat the egg whites to a stiff froth.
    Combine the leftover flour and baking powder and add it to mixture.
    Add egg froth, then the flavoring.
