Potato Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. soft shortening
    2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. mace
    1 c. mashed potatoes (unseasoned; without milk)
Preparation
    Beat eggs, sugar, shortening and potatoes.
    Blend all dry ingredients and beat in until smooth.
    Turn to lightly cover with flour on a flour covered cloth.
    Roll gently 1/3-inch thick.
    Cut into circles with doughnut cutter after chilling for 2 to 3 hours.
