Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (18 1/2 oz.) pkg. German chocolate cake mix
    1/2 c. margarine, softened
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. canola oil
    1 (14 oz.) can condensed milk, divided
    1 (16 oz.) bag caramels
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Combine the first 4 ingredients; mix well.
    Add half the condensed milk; blend.
    Pour half the batter into a 13 x 9-inch baking dish that has been well sprayed with Pam.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
