Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white corn meal
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. cold water
    1 c. milk
    3 eggs, well beaten
    2 to 3 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation
    Mix cold water with corn meal and salt.
    Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Then stir in milk, eggs and lastly, melted shortening.
    Mix well and pour into a heated, well-greased casserole.
    Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for about 50 minutes or until the top is firm and well browned.
    If any is left over, it is good warmed over with a lump of butter on top.
