Irish Soda Bread Ii - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. caraway seed
    1 c. raisins
    2 Tbsp. butter, in pea-sized pieces
    2 eggs, beaten slightly
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. sour cream
Preparation
    In a large bowl combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cream of tartar, salt, sugar, caraway seed, raisins and pieces of butter.
    In a separate bowl combine eggs, buttermilk and sour cream.
    Make a well in center of dry ingredients.
    Add liquid gradually; mix well.
    Turn dough onto a floured surface.
    Knead lightly for 10 minutes.
    Shape into a round loaf, slightly mounded in center and place in cake pan.
    Make a cross on the top and sprinkle lightly with sugar.
    Place in oven.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 350\u00b0.
    Bake 35 minutes longer.
    Makes 1 loaf.
