Dough Dogs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 hot dogs
    4 slices Cheddar cheese
    Dijon-style mustard
    2 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. cold shortening
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Split hot dogs almost through and fill with cheese.
    Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl.
    Cut in shortening until crumbly.
    Add milk to make a soft dough.
    Knead lightly a few times.
    Roll into a rectangle on a floured surface.
    Cut into 8 rectangles.
    Spread each with a little mustard.
    Wrap each hot dog in dough, tucking in the ends and sealing with a little cold water.
    Place seam side down on a greased baking sheet and bake about 12 minutes, until nicely browned.
    Serves 6 to 8.
