Mama'S Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. vinegar
    a good 1/2 c. sugar
    1 beaten egg
    cabbage
    salt and pepper
    mayonnaise to taste
Preparation
    Put the vinegar and sugar on stove and heat.
    Add beaten egg in a separate dish with a little bit of warm mixture.
    Stir.
    Add to remaining vinegar mixture.
    Cook until thickened or cloudy. Remove from heat.
    Cool and add to cabbage.
    Add salt and pepper. Add mayonnaise to taste.
    Stir and serve.
