"Red" Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 gal. cucumbers, peeled and sliced (round or long slices, different shapes)
2 c. lime
2 gal. water
1 c. vinegar
1 bottle red food coloring (1 1/2 oz.)
1 tsp. alum
4 1/2 c. vinegar
4 1/2 c. water
12 c. sugar
30 oz. pkg. cinnamon red hots
Preparation

Heat until red hots are melted.
(Takes quite a while.) Stir occasionally.
Add pickles and bring to a boil.
Put into jars and seal.
