Onion Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine
7 to 8 large yellow onions, cut in large chunks
1/2 c. uncooked rice (not instant)
5 c. salted boiling water
2/3 c. half and half
Preparation

Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat.
Add onions and saute until transparent.
Remove from heat.
Preheat oven to 225\u00b0. Cook rice in boiling salt water, drain well.
Blend with onions, cheese and half and half.
Taste to season with salt.
Turn into shallow baking dish.
Bake 1 hour.
Great served with baked ham.
