Mountain Chow Chow - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 heads cabbage
6 hard green tomatoes
4 pods hot peppers
4 Tbsp. salt
Preparation

Chop cabbage real fine.
Chop tomatoes and peppers real fine too, then mix with cabbage.
Add salt and mix.
Pack in stone jar or crock and mash down tight so brine will rise over top of the mixture.
Cover with a cloth or a tight cover and let set until it works, then skim the top of any scum and put in sterilized jars and process in water bath 15 minutes.
