Spanish Omelette - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sliced onions
    4 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 bay leaf
    1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
    2 tsp. salt
    1 diced green pepper
    dash of pepper
    2 whole cloves
    1 tsp. sugar
    4 Tbsp. flour
    6 Tbsp. water
    mushrooms, sliced
Preparation
    Saute onions until tender, then add all remaining ingredients, except flour and water.
    Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
    Thicken with flour, mixed to smooth paste with the water.
    Remove bay leaf and cloves.
