English Toffee - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. granulated sugar
2 sticks (1/2 lb.) butter
3 Tbsp. cold water
1 tsp. vanilla
3 small Hershey bars
3/4 c. chopped pecans (very fine)
Preparation

Place first 4 ingredients in a saucepan and cook until brown, at least 10 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent burning. Pour into buttered pan or platter and lay chocolate on top, spreading when melted. Sprinkle nuts on top. Cool and break into pieces.
