Caramel Popcorn(Baked) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. popcorn
    1/2 c. margarine
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. Karo white syrup
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Spread popcorn in a large, shallow pan.
    In a heavy 1 1/2-quart pan, stir together the margarine, sugar, corn syrup and salt.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils.
    Continue cooking, without stirring, 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda.
    Pour syrup mixture over popcorn.
    Stir to coat well.
    Bake, uncovered, at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
    Cool and break apart.
    Makes 1 pound.
