Beef Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans mixed vegetables, drained
    2 cans tomatoes
    6 potatoes, peeled and chopped
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 onion (if desired)
Preparation
    In large saucepan, fill about half full of water.
    Add ground beef; let cook, then add potatoes, mixed vegetables, tomatoes and onion.
    Cook until potatoes are tender.
    Cool and serve.
