Mother'S Sweetheart Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine, softened
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. quick or old-fashioned oats, uncooked
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
Preparation
    Beat together butter and cream cheese until creamy.
    Add sugar and vanilla; beat again.
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamy mixture.
    Stir in oats and nuts; mix well. Chill several hours.
