Easy Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1 c. milk, scalded
    3 3/4 to 4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 c. warm water
    1 pkg. yeast
Preparation
    Combine sugar, shortening and salt.
    Add milk.
    Let mixture cool, then add egg.
    Add yeast mixture and flour, 1 cup at a time, until dough is smooth and elastic.
    Place in greased bowl.
    Cover and let rise 1 1/4 hours.
    Shape into desired shape.
    Let rise 1/2 hour.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
