Garden Walk Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large cucumbers, sliced
    1 qt. tomatoes, chopped
    6 medium onions, sliced
    4 green peppers, sliced
    1 c. salt
    1 pt. small green beans, cut in 1-inch lengths
    1 lb. carrots, sliced
    1 pt. lima beans
    1 pt. celery, sliced
    1 medium cauliflower, in flowerets
    8 c. white vinegar
    7 c. sugar
    1/4 c. mixed pickling spices
    4 Tbsp. mustard seed
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Soak first 4 ingredients in brine of 1 gallon water and 1 cup salt overnight.
    Drain.
    Cook other vegetables 20 minutes in salted water; drain.
    Boil together vinegar, sugar and spices. Add vegetables and cook 15 minutes.
    Put into hot jars and seal.
