Hapa Haole Spareribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. spareribs
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. white pepper
    3 Tbsp. salad oil
    2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. pineapple juice and water
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. shoyu sauce
    1 (No. 2) can (1 1/4 c.) pineapple chunks, drained
    1 green pepper in 1-inch pieces
Preparation
    Cut spareribs into bite-size pieces.
    Salt and pepper ribs. Brown in hot oil on range, cover and simmer for 1 hour.
    Drain off fat.
    Combine cornstarch and sugar, blend in liquid, vinegar and shoyu sauce.
