Ingredients

3 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 c. soft butter or margarine
3 Tbsp. cream or milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Cut in butter or margarine using electric mixer or pastry blender until particles are fine.
Add egg, cream and vanilla.
Blend thoroughly.
If desired, chill for easy handling.
