Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. margarine
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. pecans, chopped
24 caramels
Preparation

Sift flour and baking powder together and set aside.
Melt margarine.
Stir brown sugar into margarine, then add vanilla and pecans.
Add dry ingredients and mix well.
Take a teaspoonful of dough and roll into a ball.
Flatten one side on ungreased baking sheet and pinch top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 18 minutes or until lightly brown.
Let cool.
Melt caramels with 1/4 cup water.
Dip cooled cookies into melted caramels then into crushed pecans.
