Fruited Loaf Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can (20 oz.) pineapple chunks
    8 oz. red maraschino cherries
    8 oz. green maraschino cherries
    3/4 c. softened margarine
    2 c. sugar
    8 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 3/4 c. all purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Drain pineapple chunks & cherries over night in colander. Then, before using fruit, set it on and cover it with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Cream butter & sugar well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture, beating until combined. Fold in drained fruit & walnuts. Turn into 2-3 greased loaf pans & bake in preheated 325\u00b0 oven for 1 hour & 15 minutes or until done (do not overbake). Cool in pans. To store in freezer, wrap tightly in foil.
