Mushroom Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. thickly sliced mushrooms
6 slices white bread
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
butter
2 eggs
1 can condensed mushroom soup
1 1/2 c. milk
cheese (optional)
Preparation

Saute mushrooms.
Butter and cube 3 slices white bread.
Put bread in bottom of casserole dish.
Combine sauteed mushrooms with sauteed onion, celery and green pepper.
Add mayonnaise, salt and pepper.
Spread this mixture over bread.
Butter and cube 3 more slices of bread and put over mixture.
Slightly beat the eggs and milk; pour over casserole.
Refrigerate overnight.
Spread soup over top.
Bake for 1 hour at 300\u00b0.
Sprinkle with grated cheese; bake 10 minutes more.
